ABOUT ME
As a former Career and Technology Teacher and document/Graphics Specialist, I am now transitioning into the role of a cultivated Instructional Designer. With several years of diverse experience across various industries, I have developed a wide range of expertise, including proficiency in utilizing various sources of technology.
My professional background encompasses the development of curricula, troubleshooting software applications, help-desk support, document analysis skills, technical writing, and desktop publishing. As a graduate student in Walden University's Instructional Design Technology (IDT) program, I have acquired a practical understanding of conducting research, analyzing the components of learning communities, and discerning the applicable theories and best practices for the design, development, and implementation of learning environments.
Through the IDT program, I have demonstrated a thorough understanding and application of the ADDIE design model. I have created storyboards and other visual aids to facilitate content flow and personalize creative designs by manipulating recorded, edited video and audio files using tools such as iSpring, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Audition. Additionally, I have connected with learners by employing multimedia principles, including the creation of original, recorded, and edited voiceover scripts for website training.
Furthermore, I have developed instructional interactions, assessments, and simulations using Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, YouTube, and Wix Interact tools. As a Project Lead or collaborative team player, I have demonstrated flexibility in handling complex projects and tasks, applying Project Management principles to ensure the success of learning environments.
With my diverse background, technical expertise, and practical experience gained through the IDT program, I am well-equipped to excel in an Instructional Design role, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of engaging and effective learning experiences.
